Just how good is this secondary?
 

Dallas has the #5 passing offense in yards/game and the #1 scoring offense. They scored 9 points and no TDs on this group.

The last few games and today especially they've benefited from the pass rush, but with the start of Thornhill, Ward being healthy again, and Fenton now in a starting role, this unit looks as salty and underrated as any in recent weeks.

Fenton is currently rated the #2 corner on PFF right behind Jaylon Ramsey.

The job Ward has done in recent weeks of some of the NFL's wideouts has been impressive (Lamb, Adams).

Sneed is also an emerging star and his nose for the ball and physicality continues to impress me.

We are getting a lot for our money the last few weeks with our cornerbacks, healthy frank clark and beast mode jones makes them look a little better but they are great at being physical at the los, and playing the deep ball. We're playing a lot of man coverage on the outside and our pass rush has delivered. Trust is working both ways.

Troy has gotten worse.

He called Travis Kelce, Jason, and neither him nor Buck caught it.

I hope fenton is just a few week type of injury, seemed like a hyperextension/sprain but could be something way worse.

His reaction was pretty bad. Seemed like a bad injury imo.

Especially on Dallas games.

To be fair, Fox assigns them to Cowboys games nearly every week so it's hard to blame them for picking up a bit of bias.

How about our top 3 corners all being on rookie contracts. None of the three were selected day 1 or 2 of the draft. High level play from guys other teams never saw coming. All gems. In fact we can thank DAL for Ward. He destroyed them today.

Get one more alpha back there to replace the aging Dirty Dan in the offseason and that group has a chance to be smothering. Gay and Bolton getting better and better every single game at the second level.

Like, I'm no fan of Romo, but at least Romo will say interesting stuff and has some inflection in his voice (some might say too much, but you can't deny it's there).

Troy is a monotone robot who only speaks in sports cliches and spouts nothing but stupid and tired sports strategy.

I'm glad KC plays in the AFC. CBS guys as a whole are thousands of times better than the FOX guys.

Pretty good roster back there in the secondary, and getting a much improved pass rush has helped them out.

I did mute the TV today, normally announcers don't bother me but Aikman announcing Dallas is down there with Simms when he announced NYG games.

Our secondary has been mostly good since we hired Spags. They play physical and force refs to throw flags before they ease up. I think we have a smart, well coached secondary but not the most physically gifted / athletic.

Don't forget about Fouts when he announced any Chiefs game. That man hates the Chiefs and he made it obvious. Not to mention, he was also a schmuck and a shitty announcer.
