The 1924 Kansas City Blues Football Team
https://youtu.be/ovdbrdCIP7U
Cool video of how the league morphed through time. There were some amusing names. The Tonawanda Kardex in 1921 was the shortest franchise team ever, playing only 1 game. |
Interesting watch, thanks for posting this.

1920s NFL is one of my favorite periods of sports history.
It is fascinating how the league survived. PFRA has dozens of excellent articles. |
Are any of the 1924 Blues available to play Sunday?
|
I had no clue there was that amount of changes in location and names over the years. Makes sense though...new league.

Blew me away that KC had a FB team that early. |
It'd be cool to have jerseys of all of the teams, even though it appears that a bunch of them were pretty generic. I don't know why the NFL doesn't sell them, because I'd buy some.
I went to the Hall of Fame several years ago, and I bought a t-shirt that celebrates the Canton Bulldogs as NFL champions. I really like that t-shirt, though no one has ever commented on it. I figure 90 percent of people or more think it's some fictional thing. |
We were the ****ing Cowboys, eh? Yick.
|
Does anyone else think Jim Thorpe is like...the hottest male athlete ever?
|
That was great!
Some of those old time running backs were huge. |
Neato vid, thanks for posting!
|
I learned a lot.
