Do they change the OT rules next season?

All I have heard from CBS, ESPN and NFLN is that they wanted to see Allen get another shot at the ball.

I don't believe anyone said this when it was us watching Brady march down the field under the same rules.

A lot of whining out there about the OT rules.

displacedinMN 01-23-2022 10:28 PM

no

Dartgod 01-23-2022 10:29 PM

They need to honestly. Especially in the playoffs. Both teams should be able to possess the ball.

Molitoth 01-23-2022 10:30 PM

I think the rule will be changed eventually.

BigCatDaddy 01-23-2022 10:30 PM

People are ****ing idiots. It's been a form of sudden death for nearly 50 years. A bunch of butt ****ing morons out there.

louie aguiar 01-23-2022 10:31 PM

I wouldn’t be surprised if they change the rules. I’ve heard a lot of bitching that Allen didn’t get to touch the ball in OT. We were there three years ago.

Bl00dyBizkitz 01-23-2022 10:31 PM

Frankly, I believe the rules should've been changed a long time ago.

Now as for the media whining, they're just sad their media darling balled out and still lost at the hands of #15. Simple as that.

ping2000 01-23-2022 10:31 PM

When it happened to us in 2018 everyone just said we should have stopped them. **** these dickheads with amnesia.

ToxSocks 01-23-2022 10:32 PM

It was said a lot when Mahomes lost to Brady on the sidelines too.

But still, **** em. Cry moar bitches. Playing defense is part of the game.

Pitt Gorilla 01-23-2022 10:32 PM

Meh, I like it. It values the TD and, therefore, the franchise QBs. That's the way it should be.

Field goals aren't worth ****.

I have to agree

It would be really funny if they changed the rules and then the rule change allowed us to beat the Bills in the AFCCG next year

RaidersOftheCellar 01-23-2022 10:33 PM

It’s a little strange that everyone’s suddenly clamoring for this. I don’t even remember hearing this when a FG used to win it. And I definitely didn’t hear much when it helped Brady get to his 27th SB.

As if a TD is automatic or something? Oh no…..the team with the #1 D doesn’t get a chance to answer a touchdown after 70 minutes of football. How unfair!!

eh, can't marginalize how hard it is to score a TD, as opposed to getting into FG range.

You see what's happening?

"Both teams should have a chance to possess the ball!"

Why? So both teams can score TDs and then the 2nd team only needs to win by field goal in sudden death?

"Well, that's not fair! The other team didn't get a chance to match your sudden death score! The game was basically decided by a coin flip! Whoever possessed the ball first got first crack at the sudden death score!"

What the **** are they supposed to do? Have the coaches sit down to a game of chess at midfield?

Ref: "The winner of this coin flip will decide who plays white and who plays black"

Welp... here we go again!
