Timing is thrown off when Cincy grabs the receivers on every play. Good strategy by them. Ref crew never called it. Disrupted timing on a few plays.

There were 2 consecutive DPIs not called early in the 3rd you have to think that could have changed something but who knows

Agree. This is the type of game where Brady's old Pats team would have killed Cincy with passes to James white over and over. We had our James white in McKinnon but Andy stubbornly refused to use him even after he helped ignite us in the 1st half.

I would have run McKinnon a lot at 7yards a pop.

In the first half, running plays on first downs were gaining 6+ yards. In the second half, the same plays were gaining 3+ and the play calling got very predictable.

I'm going with Patrick was concussed because I've never seen him play anywhere near this bad.

I heard his job in the second half was to insure that Bolton and Gay left the field on 3rd down to be replaced by slower, less talented players. It’s easy to forget to do that. With all that added responsibility, he didn’t have time to play too.

The same place where there was no spreading the field with 4/5 receivers, no mutiliple guys in motion and shifting to give the Bengals defense looks they couldn't handle in the first half and Mahomes reluctance to take off immediately when having the chance to picjk up easy yardage.

I also have to questions the routes the receivers were running the second half. They were few slants, creativity or even the efforts they usually make when Mahomes has to move around. Could that go back to the arguement Hill and Hardman had early in the second half. Something definitely not right with the "offensive" performance after the botched ending to the first half.
