If a loss by a sports team that you had absolutely nothing to do with is affecting your life almost 24 hours after the fact, you really need to evaluate what else is wrong with your life.

I would have been able to deal it if we had played well and gotten straight up beat.

I was over the Super Bowl last year almost immediately because we got our ass kicked by a superior team. We never had a chance to win that game. There was no point being upset.

This? It was all in front of us. 21-3 lead at home with a decent at best NFC team awaiting us, and we choked. And the worst part is that it wasn't our defense or o-line that choked. It was Mahomes.

This one just makes me sick.

I can function. I'll be fine, life goes on.

But that still doesn't mean that I can't still be upset. I'm not running around the office crying. But I'm not in a fantastic mood either.

Pretty ****ing bad, bro. We're at the tail end of the easy years of Mahomes window and we've only accomplished 1 championship after 4 years. Mahomes and co. rolling over and agonizingly dying for an entire half en route to another historic collapse in the history of both Reid and the Chiefs in general was something I'd NEVER thought I'd see with this current administration, but here we are.

Feel like I got checked for worms, followed with an enema, and now on a two week pumpkin seed diet.

We got to see Patrick Mahomes play in 20 games this year instead of only 17.

That's a damn good season of football right there fellas. We get to see him play another decade.

This season was like a show that ends its season on a shitty cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Still bummed at the lost opportunity.

You can't expect the Super Bowl every year. But most of the time it's because you lose in the first round of the playoffs, or don't make the playoffs at all.

When you're up 21-3 in the championship game, at home, with a postseason-veteran team, you can't blow that opportunity. You just can't. Those don't come around often at all. That's gonna stick in my craw a long time.

Avoiding most sports media today. With no Chiefs to obsess over for awhile, gonna try to channel my energy towards improving health and getting some small projects completed around the house that I've been avoiding.
