Car-nal Desires: Round 1, Heat 18

We have 84 entries in the tournament, and we'll collectively narrow the list down to the one Chiefsplanet dream car.

PICK TWO FROM EACH LIST ON THE POLL.

2020 Ford Mustang BULLITT (Edit: this is actually a 1967 fastback) https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...&postcount=104

1965 Pontiac Tempest Custom https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...4&postcount=58

1969 Chevelle SS (Red) https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...7&postcount=14

1971 Lamborghini Miura SV #4912 https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...&postcount=100

Recall the rules below. (Rule #5 was modified slightly from the nomination thread.)

1. This vehicle will be yours at no purchase cost.
2. You will keep your current vehicles, so no need to worry about fitting a baby seat in it or being able to haul mulch.
3. You're responsible for parking it.
4. You pay for gas or electricity.
5. Insurance and maintenance up to $3,000 per month is free to you. You cover the next $1,000 if the expenses are higher, and then after that the expenses are covered. So for a high-end vehicle you'll cover a max of $1,000 per month.
6. The vehicle must be street-legal.
7. The vehicle must actually exist. It cannot be a cartoon or concept drawing. However, it can be a production vehicle, a concept vehicle, a custom vehicle, or anything else that is real.
8. The vehicle being nominated is the exact vehicle shown. You cannot change the color, the interior, the engine size, etc.
9. You cannot use the vehicle to make money. It's only for your personal use.
10. You cannot sell the vehicle.
11. Any type of street-legal vehicle is allowed. You can nominate a car, a truck, a minivan, an RV, a semi-truck, a motorcyle, a classic car, a school bus, whatever. As long as it meets the rules above, it's eligible.

What can I say? I was born and raised on a diet of Mustangs, so I'll go with the modern version.

And I like the Lamborghini even though the console appears to be specifically designed to take out an eye in a low-speed crash.

I'm not really into the Tempest, and the Chevelle is nice, but it can't compete with the Mustang and Lamborghini.

I feel like we should have had an all-Chevelle heat at the beginning to winnow down those entries.

How many more heats do we have for round 1?

21 total in Round 1, so

(1 - 8, carry the 1...)

3 more.

What is it and I'll correct it. I think I looked at the image on Google Lens and that's what it said. But now it doesn't. I swear that I must've looked it up because I've never heard of a 2020 Bullitt Mustang.

The one in the link is a 67 fastback. Same paint/model as the original Bullet car.

I don't know my modern cars all that well, but i'd imagine a 2020 Bullet Mustang is just some 5.0 or 5.2 Mustang with an appearance package /shrug

I can't correct the poll, but I corrected the link. In looking at the tail lights, it's definitely not a 2020. I blame the Rothschilds' control of world technology for the mislabel.

A 2020 Mustang is besting that Lambo right now? wtf

lawrenceRaider 03-13-2022 06:02 PM

Lamborghini and Chevelle.

Tough to vote against the other 2. Again.

An SV no less….

Man, my dream car 70 Ford Torino CobraJet 429 would have been perfect in this round. I went with the Tempest and the Chevelle. I love old muscle cars.

kccrow 03-14-2022 01:07 AM

I swear if a ****ing Chevelle and Mustang beat one of the rarest cars on the planet, I'm going to be unfathomably disappointed in da Planet.
