What are the weakest positions going into the new season?
In my opinion you could pick any position on D but we are really weak at DE. Honestly doesn't fill me with any confidence going into this season.

Quarterback?

DE, WR1, RB
Not that RB matters much in this offense. |
DE obviously. DT isn't great either.
LB lacks some depth. The lack of a "oh ****, throw it to him when shit gets bad" WR will hurt us from time to time. Depth behind Kelce is pretty much a mystery bag. |
Defensive Line
Beyond that it's hard to tell. The secondary and WR groups need to mesh with one another quickly. |
DL RB WR

d-line and wr look like hot garbage right now

I'll add DE to make it complete |
LT is definitely a bit of a concern

I hope people around here understand that our secondary will need some time to gel and improve throughout the season. They might have their fair share of busted coverages especially early on.
Eh, who am I kidding. It's Chiefs Planet. Our secondary is trash! Fire them all! Fire everybody! Even Mahomes! Rebuild the whole thing! |

I think the Chiefs are going to struggle against good secondaries that can play man coverage.
Where's our man coverage beater at WR? At the moment there's no WR on the roster who a defense will be afraid to leave 1v1. It'll be interesting to see how that develops as the season progresses, how the Chiefs address that and how defenses adjust to this new look WR group. I get the feeling we're gonna be having a lot of conversations about our WR's not getting open during critical moments of the game. |
I'm a bit concerned how vanilla our offense may have become without Tyreek there to burn the field. In Andy & Patrick I trust however.

Beating man coverage isn't just running past them deep. Moore should work teams in the short area if they wanna play man with his short area quickness. |
