Chief fans remember this game

You guys beat us 40-34 in overtime in Lambeau. We were way ahead 31-7 and you guys came back and won in the 4th quarter? We collapsed big time. This was in the Farve days and Ahman Green was our running back. This was early 2000s? Any of you guys at Lambeau for this game? Any good stories about your experience at the game? This was one of the most memorable Games against you guys. You guys had that Dante Hall guy who we kept kicking away from and Priest Holmes was with you guys.

Tony G had a great game if I remember correctly. And in the end, I remember Vermeil going for the TD instead of the FG to win it. I believe Trent Green threw the winning TD pass to Eddie Kennison. I was not there, but was at a Sports Bar in the "Lambeau Field" section.

31-14, after being tied at 14..... I remember Kennison in OT, it was really one of those moments where you start believing it's going to be different this time, despite still being fairly early in the season.

It wasn't, of course, but that was a fun regular season and a hell of a game.

I was at the game October of 2003 at Lambaeu, kept the Chiefs perfect record in tact. 6 -0 after the comeback win. Remember it very well, but don;t recall 31-7. Game was tied and I went to get a beer and the Packers were up two TDs by the time I got back.
I had three tickets right behind the Chiefs bench and took a Packer fan with me, made for a nice quiet 5 hour ride home. Packer fans were classy though, gotta give them that .

Mike Sherman wasted some talented Packers squads.

That OT pass from Green to Kennison was awesome.

Like it was yesterday!

One of my favorite games ever. Jerome woods with the pick and then caused the fumble from Green then boom first play bomb to kennison to win.

Also, Dante Hallreturned a punt for a TD that was called back or he would have had 5 games in a row with a ST return score.

Exactly.

Ironically we have had decent success against both the 49'ers and Packers in the regular season while they were good and we were not.

Eddie Kennison

I remember switching the VHS tape just before the OT period started. One play. Perfect

IIRC Favre had never beaten KC before, and that win kept KC as the only team he had zero wins against. That was broken later.

I remember it took a couple weeks to get over that loss. My Grandfather watched the game with me and he kept telling me after it was over that it’s just a game. I yelled back at him it’s not just a game. He cheered me up later that day. I miss him and wish he was here today. That game does bring back great memories of my Grandpa now that he is gone. I remember it was a gorgeous Fall day that day here in The Northwoods.
