More Mahomes Stat Insanity

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Following last night’s win, the Chiefs are now 12-9 (.571) with Patrick Mahomes as their starting QB when they have faced a 10+ point deficit since the start of 2018.<br><br>During that same stretch, all other QBs are 156-873 (.152) when trailing by 10+ points.<br><br>No lead is safe vs. KC.</p>&mdash; Field Yates (@FieldYates) <a href="https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1579840186686803969?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 11, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

That's higher than Troy Aikman's career winning percent.

Pitt Gorilla 10-11-2022 11:38 PM

That's pretty incredible.

DRM08 10-11-2022 11:40 PM

Not bad for a dude who is barely starter quality according to the geniuses at PFF.

cdcox 10-11-2022 11:40 PM

So sweet to have the 4th best QB in the league. /S

When the Chiefs are down double digits it feels like they just got out of bed and were in the process of making coffee.

Interesting stat but he should prob be compared against his peers and not the entire QB pool. What is it for rodgers brady etc

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Patrick Mahomes of the <a href="https://twitter.com/Chiefs?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Chiefs</a> is now 11-9 (.550) in his career when trailing by 10+ points in a game, including playoffs.<br><br>No other QB in NFL history has even a .400 winning percentage as a starter when trailing by 10 or more (min. 20 starts) - next is Tom Brady at .390 (39-61).</p>&mdash; OptaSTATS (@OptaSTATS) <a href="https://twitter.com/OptaSTATS/status/1570621352197099520?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 16, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

TomBarndtsTwin 10-12-2022 12:27 AM

Not sure about Rodgers, but it’s lower than Tom Brady’s .390 winning %

Saw this stat and thought it was amazing.

Mahomes has a better career winning percentage (.571) when trailing by double digits, than Aikman had in all career regular season games (.570).

Hog's Gone Fishin 10-12-2022 05:13 AM

Now he needs to quit being down by 10+ points.

If the Beaker paid attention to football he'd have known that already

DrunkBassGuitar 10-12-2022 06:19 AM

Mahomes also wins 75% of the games where chiefs are the underdog
