Since we be underdogs this week.....

This is from 2019. The last time I can remember we were a clear underdog(6 or > points). Yes, I'm factoring in the customary 3 points for home field.

If they bring their "A" game right from the start they will win. Falter just a little.... dem Bills are hungry.

So, even though the customary 3 points for home field is taken into account, you're going to add it again so it matches your "Clear underdog" description....makes perfect sense in your world I'm sure.

I think the Bills are going to come up short...just like they did last winter.

dlphg9 10-12-2022 02:19 PM

But they aren't clear under dogs?

Megatron96 10-12-2022 02:28 PM

By Vegas standards, +3 at home for the Chiefs means if KC were playing on a neutral field, the Chiefs would be 6-point dogs.

In BUF we'd be something like 9-point dogs. So yeah, we're definitely underdogs this week. Which is fine, because Mahomes basically laughs at being called an underdog.

I'm still a little surprised at the road dog status.

For instance, would we be NINE point dogs in Buffalo? I think Buffalo was a 13 point favorite against Pittsburgh at home last week (and easily covered) but it still seems to me like Buffalo would get maybe 6? 5.5?

I just don't quite understand why the Bills are laying 3 at home unless Vegas has kinda moved away from the '3 points for HFA' rule of thumb.

The hype around this game feels like the 2018 AFCCG, where everyone rightfully assumes the Patriots will be on their A game, so the narrative is all about "if" the Chiefs can play perfectly, and if they don't, they will most likely lose

Yet, the Bills don't have 15+ years of postseason/SB success to back up the assumptions being made and it's the Chiefs who have proven over and over they show up when it really matters.

It's amusing.

At home underdog should light a fire under the Chiefs ass. This is gonna be a good one.

I think this is a big part of it.

My impression is that they didn't like it, and so I won't use it just in case some armageddon happens and the three of us are the last humans on earth and need to repopulate the species.

I can confirm that they don’t like like it because they teach elementary school and it makes them look bad or unstable. Source: their Mom

That’s normal for them. That passion but it became a meme everyone uses and they are clearly recognizable.

So...I don't really pay attention to this stuff, but when was the last time the Chiefs were dogs at home??
