More players talking about changing from turf to grass

We saw De’Vondre Campbell speak out on this. Now there are more popular players speaking out. Including Travis Kelce.

Injuries are part of the game, we should be creating more injuries, not less.

New Orleans must be the worst to be on that list twice.

Agreed. Let's put smooth finish concrete in. 120 yards of the slickest, hardest shit they've got.

Chief Pagan 11-12-2022 05:36 PM

If Arizona was turf, Butker doesn't get injured.

Their system is crap too. it really does not have anything to root too.

I walked on the Meadowlands field back in 1981 and thought I was walking on painted concrete. It was the most incredibly horrific thing I could have imagined. I could not believe they actually played on that shit.

Players used to get horrible road rash on their arms that would never heal during the season. Just reopen the wounds each week.

My brother played safety for four years at a college that had, basically, the old astro turf. It absolutely destroyed his body.

Chief Pagan 11-12-2022 06:03 PM

So I was under the impression that the new turf was more grass like than the old thin carpet on concrete. Is that not really true?
