Anybody know wtf the "K" is

Renderings look nice. If modernization would cost that much compared to the cost of a new facility, makes sense.

Could pave the way for a new Arrowhead in the current geographic location one day as well.

Kauffman Stadium.

oldman 11-15-2022 05:14 PM

They're not leaving soon. I think they're tied to Kauffman until 2030. That said, they won't be happy until they get a new ballpark.

Eleazar 11-15-2022 05:18 PM

False thread title. They are developing plans and will begin working toward a new stadium.

scho63 11-15-2022 05:19 PM

They should go downtown. Baseball is built for that. Little to no tailgating and less crowds.

I would not be shocked if they're doing this now to try and have it built by the World Cup.

Spott 11-15-2022 05:21 PM

Let me guess, the Royals are going to pay for their brand new stadium and not try to strongarm taxpayers into paying for it.

RealSNR 11-15-2022 05:21 PM

Are Jackson County residents done paying off the original Truman renovations from back in 2009?

dallaschiefsfan 11-15-2022 05:22 PM

So...the iconic "crown-vision" will be eliminated. Ok.

Only complaint I have is that there's no crown vision. I feel that should be incorporated because it's what it makes it unique.

Such a fluff piece by them. So they want a district. Didn't say what that cost is. Hey they will spend 300million for a district that will cost 3 to 4 billion possibly?

What are these companies moving to the district and somehow creating these new jobs permanently? We will have urban blight from their move.

I knew it was coming. Assholes could at least pay half to 60 percent. How about fielding good teams if you want this stadium.
