Officials fail to see Bills defense had 12 men on the field during goal line play vs. Vikings in overtime

Minnesota got the ball first to start the extra period, and Kirk Cousins marched the offense down to the Buffalo two-yard line. On first-and-goal, Dalvin Cook rushed right for a loss of three yards. However, the Bills had 12 defenders on the field -- which went unnoticed by the officials.

"I know it's moving pretty fast out there sometimes," Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said after the game, via ESPN.

Instead of the Vikings getting a first-and-goal from the one-yard line due to the penalty, they had a second-and-goal from the five-yard line. On second down, Cousins was sacked, and he then failed to connect with Adam Thielen on third-and-goal from the Bills' 15-yard line. Greg Joseph was forced to come on and kick a 33-yard field goal, which then gave the Bills a chance to end the game with a touchdown.
The officials also refused to review what was an incomplete pass on the tying drive by Buffalo as well. I don't understand why Coaches cannot challenge under 2 mins.

I didn't see this anywhere until now.

I mean, it WAS a terrible job of officiating. Failing to see 12 men is inexcusable.

As for the huge catch that wasnt, that's supposed to fall on New York to review any questionable plays. How that huge of a play went unreviewed is pretty sad.

I mean if you guys can't review the plays properly under 2 minutes, coaches need the ability to stop play and challenge.

See? Not rigged, the refs are just grossly incompetent and inconsistent!

Yeah the Vikings could have been pretty ****ed. That play was so big and the NY officials should have rang down to review it, because what is the downside of reviewing it?

Confirming the level of ineptess of the officiating crew I assume.

The whole point of the program is to make sure we get the calls right. If you're not going to do that, then the program is inherently useless and only fans the flames of the WWE obsessed "rigged" crowd.

.

If you still have a time out, you can call one and if the stoppage ends up triggering a review, you get your time out back.

Right?

I don't think Minnesota had a timeout left so they would not have been able to challenge anyway even without the two minute rule.

I agree they should have.
