Watch out for the Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence is finding his groove and the Jags are getting on a roll. With the Titans going backwards, the Jags are close to sneaking by and winning the division. Not sure it will happen but they could be one of those Cinderella teams that does some damage if they make the playoffs.
Could be an interesting story. |
That's better

In a lot of ways, Lawrence was holding them back. But as he's progressed this season, the team has looked much better. |
Pederson was the right choice for their coach. He's righting the ship in Jacksonville pretty quickly. Glad that the cheating Donks didn't get him.

Yeah, they could sneak in and win a game in the playoffs. Hell, if they end up beating Tennessee and getting a home game, I could see them taking out the Ravens or the Bengals in that 4/5 matchup.

Didn't it start out pretty awesome in Philly for Peterson too

That 2020 season was a bit rough, but I never quite understood how Pederson went from a guy who was the toast of the town after winning a SB with a backup QB to some idiot rube because of one off year. Doug's a quality coach and brought some stability and cache where it was DESPERATELY needed in Jacksonville. It isn't a lot different from Reid coming in here and stabilizing things in 2013. They just needed some baseline competence and Pederson is providing that. That's enough for them to start developing talent and learning what they really have on the roster. |
They did pretty damn good against the Dallas D. Lit them up for a lot of points.

A) Robinson is...okay. They didn't lose a lock-down LT here. B) Jawaan Taylor is a pretty good player at RT C) Walker Little is a solid talent in his own right and someone I think was probably ticketed to replace Little or Robinson this off-season. So either they put Little at LT or move Taylor over to LT and put Little in at RT. Either situation is fairly manageable. |
Side note - Taylor is a guy I have my eye on in the off-season. He'd be a nice upgrade on Wylie and I still think he can transition to LT if you don't get a viable long-term solution there in the draft. He's a real talented guy who suffered from the Urban experiment.

You’re also leaving out the part where he refused to make any coaching staff changes in addition to supporting as Hurts as the future over Wentz when Roseman’s intention was for him to be a backup to Wentz along with Roseman doing a shit job with personnel immediately after the SB. Pederson probably still is in Philly if he made coaching staff changes and wasn’t hell bent on choosing Hurts over Wentz before the end of Hurts’ rookie year. Quote:

I posted this in the other thread, but - Pederson should be coach of the year if they win that division, considering where the Jaguars were last season.

Lawrence might be our best chance of a team knocking off BUF or CIN
|
The have @Jets, @Houston, vs Titans left on the schedule
