Mecole Hardman

It seems like the offense has been a lot less dynamic without Hardman. He might be the spark needed going into the playoffs.

I know the accepted narrative here is one that treats Hardman as some sort of JAG. But I really like his freakish athleticism, his playmaking ability, and his unselfishness. He’s still really young and has acted like a kid at times, but I’ve got this nagging feeling that if the light ever comes on he’s gonna be special.

He’s made some really great plays and I love the way he runs in traffic. He doesn’t shift gears. It’s like he’s in variable glide mode.

I think Hardman and Toney are going to make a huge difference in the playoffs.

Those 2 combined with Playoff Pat could make the offense unstoppable.

And McKinnon/Pacheco! Andy gonna open a can up in the playoffs. Just hope our tackles don’t kill our offense.

I think the Chiefs are able to ratchet it up on offense for the playoffs more than anyone else. With the combination of Reid opening up the playbook and playoff Pat (not to mention he's also much more willing to run and take contact). We just take it to another level on offense. The D does too, just not to the same extent as the offense.

Put me in the camp that would love to find a way to extend Hardman. Maybe after the injury riddled season he'd be willing to stay home for a bit of a discount. If I had to guess Juju is the higher priority however with Toney taking the Hardman role with a full offseason with Mahomes and Reid.

I want him come back at full strength for the playoffs not too worried about him missing next couple games except it would do him good to play at least against the Raiders to get the feel of the game and speed going. I miss watching him do stuff in pre snap that seemed to confuse a lot of defense.

100%. Hardman as a speed and jet sweep option

Toney is critical for getting short hitches with YAC. And it gives more room to bump Watson into less snaps, and to have someone to fill in for when Mvs disappears the other 90% of the game.

I suspect Toney will be used a ton and hardman will be used quite a bit in a very specific role

We miss his speed, for sure.

I think they only had 21 days to elevate Hardman or he goes on IR for the remainder of the season. I believe he has already been up for 2 weeks, so there is only about a week until they must elevate him if they are going to this season.

A turd is a turd, whether you flush it immediately, or take a photo to admire every day.

Hardman's absence appears to have made many believe he's so much better than he really is. That somehow with him on the field were going to be this unstoppable td machine.

However, what is the difference between a Justin Watson dropped pass, or an incomplete pass where Hardman just never looks for the ball and has zero idea its coming?

Hardman's issues are mental. His highlight reel would be insane if every missed big play that happened because he's either sleepwalking, or somehow functioning in an upright diabetic coma were actually made.

Watson and Mahomes have just been the tiniest bit off from multiple huge plays this year. If Mahomes delivers the ball an eye blink earlier, Watson has a td before the Seattle defender can recover on Saturday.

And for those saying Mahomes has lost faith in Watson and Moore should get his snaps, Watson sure keeps getting bug play opportunities for a guy not trusted.

Mecole is a fast gadget guy.

He's not going to come back out of the ****ing blue be a 10/80-100 2td guy.

He's gonna get his tds on jet sweeps and the occasional busted coverage that our ass tackles somehow manage to block long enough for Patrick to hit it.

Temper your expectations folks.

There's zero doubt that he will be activated.

I don't claim to know everything about X's and O's, but my understanding from reading those who do, is that Hardman's (and Toney's and Hill's) value isn't just in the catches (targets) or the jet sweeps that they touch the ball on, it's in the horizontal motion that gets defenders to widen out and commit to a side of the field. They create space for Kelce and Juju to find openings.
