Sneed on the outside, and McDuffie inside
Is it just me or have they been rolling with this the majority of the snaps the last couple of weeks?
It seems like it's really given the secondary a boost. |
Yes yes they have

Since the SEA game, I think. Spags said that he felt comfortable asking Trent to move to the slot and giving him a try there. When he did well in that game, Spags decided to keep that going.
Just one step away now from becoming HB . . . just sayin' |
When you have 2 very good defensive backs WHO CAN TACKLE, good things happen.
Even Thornhill stepped up his game yesterday. |
Sneed’s traveling the last several games against receivers is a big change in philosophy. That + McDuffie playing at a high level brings us an excellent secondary.
Need to extend Sneed after this season. |

Probably take $14M to $15M AAV to get that done. |
Have definitely seen this as well.

McDuffie has been a very able and willing blitzer the past few weeks as well. I like that added dimension to his game.

I’m really going to be happy if they do re-sign Sneed for the record, but I just wonder how Veach plans on handling it in the future since it is the position he is obviously very good at finding young diamonds in the rough at. |

Mcduffie has been such a nice surprise. I thought he for sure whiffed a tackle yesterday and straight locked up the receivers ankle yesterday.

He’s been just as good as Sneed as a Jack of all trades. His blitzes have been excellent and he’s been very good matching receivers routes and staying in their hip pocket.
The duo of Sneed/McDuffie is gonna be fun as hell for the next 4 years |
The coverage has definitely improved over the last few weeks, along with the rest of the defense. It looks like the defense is starting to gel at just the right time.
