Did anyone notice this CJ and Dunlap exchange before the sack?
Watched the replay last night as I was at a watch party and you can't really concentrate with everyone around talking about other dumb shit while the game is on.
Anyways... The play before, CJ got double teamed and was non existent as he got stood up at the line by the double. On THE play though, the tv spans to Spags then the field and you can tell CJ telling Dunlap to get his ass inside and Dunlap trying to tell CJ to go inside instead. TV then spans to Bengals huddle and it looks like Dunlap finally reluctantly goes to DT at the last second. CJ gets the sack and everyone is going ape-shit but Dunlap just walks off like CJ took his moment. Immediately after, they flashed to CJ on the bench and Dunlap walks over to him while he's sitting down. I'd love to be a fly on that wall. Just wondered if anyone else notice that. CJ WILLED that! |

When CJ tells you to get your ass inside, you get your ass inside.

Geoff Schwartz did

Thought I saw a breakdown of that play where the defense was setup to isolate Jones one on one with the RT. Disguised coverage took away Burrow's first read and Jones won his rep.
Could've been a natural miscommunication but either way incredible play by the defense. |

Going by Dunlap's reaction after the game, I don't think he was too distraught about that one play.
|
His career was dead. He should be happy.

Dunlap’s pressure certainly helped on that play, even if he didn’t get the sack. I’m sure he wasn’t too worried after beating his old team and getting to the Super Bowl.
|
Honestly I think Dunlap's trot off there was him thinking we was about to get the sack himself. Jones just beat him there.
|
They doubled Dunlop thinking Jones would be there.
Great move guys. |
I’m maybe a bit of a positive thinker, but I’d have to think Dunlap is more thinking he’s better suited to take the End. I can’t imagine he’d be upset about it ending up as a sack for somebody else knowing he’s heading to the Super Bowl now.

So I wonder if Jones 'called his shot' and the play Spags called actually was for Dunlap to be on the end but Jones overruled.
