Mocking around

Re-sign

Buechele
McKinnon
Watson
Fortson
Prince
Saunders
Harris
Bush

Free agents
Clellan Ferrell DE- seems like a beach pick up. A first round bust.
Armon Watts DT- a young guy to develop and bring in cheap

Trade
CEH for a 5th round pick

Draft

1. Jaelyn Duncan 6’6” 306 Maryland OT- Duncan has all the attributes to be a very good LT. Does need to add some strength in his core and lower half.

2. Gervon Dexter 6’5” 310 Florida DT- a massive run stopper to pair with jones. Has potential in the pass game too. Can learn and develop under Jones.

3. Yaya Diaby 6’4 270 Louisville DE- super athletic. Was misused in college. His stock definitely went up after the combine. Has a top 10 yard split.

4. Bryce Ford-Wheaton 6’3” 215 West Virginia WR- has elite speed and length. Also a 40” vertical. Was hampered by bad QB play in college

4. Daniel Scott 6’1” 210 California S- athletic safety with a good nose for the ball.

5. Isaiah Land 6’4” 236 Florida A&M DE- a developmental edge rusher specialist.

5. Dante Stills 6’4” 285 West Virginia DT- a pass rush interior lineman. Rotational guy.

6. Anfernee Orji 6’1” 230 Vanderbilt LB- athletic and fast. Good tackle. Gives us quality depth and special teams.

6. Earl Bostick 6’6” 310 Kansas OT- a developmental swing tackle. Needs to build strength. Has good length and great athleticism.

7. John Gaines 6’4” 307 UCLA OL- has played all 5 positions in college. Is an interior depth player and back up center. The Allegretti replacement. Super athletic good length and size.

7. Denic Prince 6’ 215 Tulsa RB- has 4.3 speed. But needs development. Reminds me of Pacheco but not quite as violent in his running style.

I like the focus on athleticism and explosion. I really like Diaby and Ford-Wheaton.

This is a relatively good mock. Isaiah Land makes no sense in KC, though, unless it’s so late in the draft it doesn’t matter. He’s a linebacker project in our scheme.

I think Duncan is a very good player but his arms aren’t long enough to be a 1st round tackle in an Andy Reid offense.

Your starting tackle situation is probably the biggest sin here. Duncan on one side and Niang on the other are two very large question marks.

Duncan arms measured 33 5/8”. Basically 34”. Which is plenty long.

I get the scare with Niang. I have the same. But he is a legit RT and is better than Wylie. He’s had over a year to get right with his knee. And Duncan fits our scheme with his athleticism and pass blocking skills.

I also agree with Land. Which is why I said he is brought in as a pass rush specialist. A gray counter piece to Karlaftis on the other side. He’d be Used in passing situations only until his strength gets better. And there is nothing wrong with that. Diaby was taken in the third round to be a future starter hopefully. Land is taken to get pressure. Let’s not over think it

I think we have to start penciling in the reality that Juju will more likely be back.

I think this is pretty realistic considering we're picking at the bottom of each round. I like the top 5 picks, not as familiar with the rest of them. Good work!
