mock thing
FA:
Keep Deon Bush Michael Burton Justin Watson Khalen Saunders Shane Buchele (RFA) Andrew Wylie Prince Teg Wanohgho (RFA) Jody MOTHER****ING Fortson (ERFA) Tershawn Wharton (RFA) Darrius Haris (RFA) Extend Chris Jones (5yr/137m, 70m guaranteed) The keeps Stone Cold for life and gives the Chiefs cap flexibility. Sign OT Donovan Smith Did not run block well last season, but I can see why. Extended injury, bad coaching, entire OL in flux all year. Brady was bad. DE Frank Clark I think Frank comes back when his market just never materializes. Comes back in a lesser role for less money. WR Odell Beckham JR A lot of smoke here. OBJ will have to trade guaranteed money for incentives but no other team will give him a chance at a ring like KC. Not a lot of FA activity and that's ok because this class is shit. They add some pieces and preserve what should be a great 2024 comp pick haul. Trade RB Clyde-Edwards Helaire to Detriot for RB D'Andre Swift A fart for poop trade. The Chiefs work to see if they can get McKinnon plus production from Swift while CEH gets a clean slate in Detroit. Draft 1) Keion White DE Georgia Tech Needs to slim down a tad, but I love the potential on the edge next to CJ. 2) Cedrick Tillman WR Tennessee Eventual #1. 3) Tyler Steen OL Alabama Can start early as a reserve or on the right side and possibly eventually shift over to LT. Will be treasured for versatility. Veach packages up a lotto bag of late picks to move up a few spots to land his fatty. 4) Adetomiwa Adebawore DE Missouri Plays violently but is raw as hell. Worth a gamble, I think. 4) Jaquelin Roy DT LSU Need some youth in the IDL. 6) Kenny McIntosh RB Georgia Willing blocker that can catch passes. 7) Cameron Mitchell DB Northwestern Can be the nickel guy and ST's superstar |
Maybe I'm high, but there's no way the Lions trade us Swift for CEH. I think they are still fairly high on him. Also, Abedawore played for Northwestern, not Missouri and will be gone way before the 4th round. Were you thinking about McGuire? Lastly, OBJ already has a ring with the Rams, so he's not going to be ring chasing. I think he's looking for one more fat paycheck before his injuries cripple him. I don't see him taking a discount. Dehop, maybe, but not OBJ.

I think the Lions are lukewarm at best on Swift. There's a lot of talk about them drafting Bijan Robinson or trading for Henry.
They haven't been able to figure out how to properly use him week to week. |
I would love Keion White.
Steen is a right tackle sleeper too. McIntosh is a great pick. I’m a bit sour on the Tillman pick, but Veach/Reid are on a half-decade hot streak, so it’s hard for me to hate almost any move they’d make there. |
I had to think long and hard about the Tillman selection myself. I think he could be the chain mover on third downs here but I wouldn't be shocked if they went with a better athlete.

Also, I will say that my least favorite feedback is "there's no way that guy will be there!" because it happens every draft. Guys fall.
That being said, I'd be legit shocked if Ade Ade fell to the third day of the draft. I don't think that's particularly likely to happen. |
Sure all it takes is one team to bite early.
I have Adebawore in that 4th to 5th range as I think he's more project than situational role player at this point but he could go earlier. |
