Carl Peterson kept his job for nearly 20 years by fielding a competitive football team that rarely ever made it past the Divisional Round.

I mean...people wanna keep their jobs and we're shocked?

It gets even worse when coaches and owners get involved....

Unless a GM has a long history with an owner, keeping their jobs will always be a consideration.
