Spinoff from an IRL conversation tonight:


If you could choose one active NFL player to add to this Chiefs team, who would it be?


Assume that there are no trades or compensation involved, that you could just make the player of your choice a member of the Chiefs at their current age and they would be ready to play and contribute fully, immediately. They must be an active player in the league, not a historical player.

For the sake of the discussion, assume that any cap issues that would result are surmountable, and that the player wants to be a Chief for the foreseeable future. This is a question about the player's skills and abilities and not the business side of things.

So... who would you choose?

Tyreek Hill

Justin Jefferson or Tyreek Hill

WR is the biggest need, so those are my picks.

I could also make our defense insane by adding another top pass rusher (Parsons, Garrett, Bosa), dominant DT to play next to Jones (Simmons, Williams, Lawrence), or safety upgrade (Derwin James).

I've always wanted to see Aaron Donald and Chris Jones play together for one year.

I guess now it would be Jalen Carter and Chris Jones.

Micha Parsons

Justin Jefferson. Our primary need, dynamic player, still only 24. The #1 player to covet around the league for me.

Tee Higgins. Right the wrong

Honestly…you put Tyreek on this Chiefs team right now, we might not lose a game till 2025.

It’s gotta be Parsons and shouldn’t be close. Our O is by far good enough to win a SB. You add Parsons to our current D and now it’s over.

Justin Jefferson and I don't think there is another acceptable answer

the only other guy to consider would be Michah Parsons.

Davante Adams. We would never lose a game. Pat or Travis could have a bad day, and we'd still score 30.

I remember everyone shitting on the 9ers for trading for him. It seems like it really made them a better team.
