*****ALL-22 THREAD*****
Just a thread for All-22 nerds to jot down random thoughts and observations. Weekly threads seem like a chore so i think this would be a better format.

Watching Noah Gray's TD catch....man that play design is a thing of beauty. Rashee Rice clears out one safety and his corner on a crosser, another DB bites down on Kelce sitting down underneath and Gray runs between the void left by the two of them and springs wiiiide open for the easy TD.
-Just call McDuffie "Clamp God". Seriously. He's ridiculous. This guy is practically running routes for these guys, and i never realized how physical he is in his coverage. - sorry. The very next play....****in' McDuffie is a beast. Coverage on lock. -FAU in coverage. Wilson (?) catches a first down filling a hole in the zone between FAU and Sneed. I mention it because FAU in coverage is an odd thing to be a thing yet here we are. THey effectively got Garret Wilson matched up in coverage against FAU....c'mon now. -Allen Lazard can't get open against Trent McDuffie. He just can't. It's hilarious. Sneed gets beat on this same play as he's left in a no win situation. Outside leverage on Wilson who beats him inside where there's a massive void in the coverage. Also: Sorry about lack of timestamps etc. I use the App and i haven't seen them include time stamps in over a year. -Just as I say that, McDuffie gets beat by Lazard. Not sure what happened here, McDuffie looking at Mike Edwards mid play like he did something wrong as Lazard keeps working deeper, McDuffie kinda lost track. Wilson hits him for a big gain. Terrible throw btw. Lazard has to stop and come back for it, McDuffie's momentum carried him out of the play. __________________ |
Any chance you can provide timestamps or drive/play numbers to your observations? I like this idea but would love context it’s where it is in the game.

I'm using the APP on a smart tv and it's not providing any time stamps in the video. Not sure if the app is different on a different medium such as a PC. |
Regarding Mahomes 1st Int:
3 man route initially, Kelce, Gray and MVS. Pacheco sneaks out into the flat. Kelce and MVS double covered, Gray sneaks behind the zone and IS open. Wide open, really. Mahomes late on the throw, tries to loft it over to compensate. Had Mahomes seen Gray earlier that's an easy completion. EDIT: Gray could've done Mahomes a favor and drifted a little deeper into the void that MVS cleared out. But still, i stand by my initial observation. Had Mahomes seen Gray earlier in the route and threw with more anticipation, this is a completion for a big gainer. |
- Ensuing Jets drive after Mahomes INT; TD play: Reid tries pressing the TE, gets bodied and just moved out of position for the TD score.
-Regarding Mahomes 2nd INT: Really nothing there to be had in terms of open receivers. No idea what Mahomes thought when he threw that ball. At no point was Kelce ever open. He had one guy over the top and one guy underneath trailing. |

-Still trying to figure out if the Jets had more talent than scheme. They didn't blitz much and had a lot of success after the first two TD's.
-Pacheco kind of saved the day for the offense. -Patrick was simply off with his accuracy on several throws, not just the two ugly picks. -Chenal is playing really, really, well. Drew looked good too. -McDuffie slipped or he'd had a shot at a pick on that deep throw late first half. -George leveled Zach once. It didn't get much attention. -Mahomes casually side stepping a KO shot on the boundary was pretty amazing. -Is Toney in the dog house or something? -Taylor is playing well. Mahomes has a lot of time. -Skyy is frustrating. |

The only angle I saw of it that was somewhat clear was still a little murky. Hard to tell if he stepped in Danna’s helmet or he missed it entirely. |
