Interesting. I haven't checked out Betcon. Didn't bother because that whole line is hot garbage. I'll have to see what he brings.
What do you think Smith gets? 20+? I'm not sure how I feel about Smith? I'd probably try to keep Prince. I thought he did well when asked to come in. Not sure he'll ever be the guy, but if we can keep him as a serviceable backup, I'd do it. Pour one out for my guy Willie. |
JC! Troy Franklin reminds me of Hines Ward! What a score that would be! :thumb:

Jesus. Good luck nfl.

This would be a fantastic offseason and another killer draft for Veach.
See Direckshun, this is how these threads should be done. Hate seeing both Gay and Sneed leave, but if it allows the Chiefs to keep Jones then I am all for it. |
Thanks for posting, love me some mock drafts!
Also hate to see Sneed and Gay go, but seems you've put together a solid offseason here. Who's T Franklin's pro comp in your opinion? Would you take him over Odunze or Egbuka? |

Yeah. You know, THAT is a pretty good off-season.
I don't know the players you've drafted very well, but I'd agree with the positional emphasis. I like the re-signings and more or less agree with the releases. Not sure about Bekton. They were calling him a bust just last season. Admittedly, I've not watched a ton of Jets football, and when I have, it was usually to marvel at just how bad Zach Wilson was last year. Kind of missed watching anything else. |
I bet Mike Edwards sticks for another contract, as does Allegretti (Andy seems to have a soft spot for him). Hate to see Danna go, but he's likely played himself into a larger contract than we'd be willing to offer.
Would it be worth the risk of a tag and trade with either Sneed or Gay? |

I do think Danna has played himself into a nice contract KC won't be able to afford. As for Sneed and Gay, probably not on the tags. Sneed would be a guy if you can't get a deal done with Jones where I'd probably throw the 19.5 million or whatever the tag is. It's in that range. The LB tag is over 17 and even the transition is over 14. Not a chance in hell I'd do that for Gay. I'd probably keep Gay around if he signed on for something like 2/7 or something like that. He isn't worth much more than that. I do think this draft presents some really nice options for coverage LB types. The kid from North Carolina is pretty good too. At the end of the day I might end up having Ford a round too low and hoping that Carson makes it to the end of 2 might be foolish as well. Right now, I have them where I'm seeing them slotted even if my eyes say that might be wrong. |

The things I like:
- It's pretty unsentimental on letting guys walk and I think that's right. I like Sneed and it's a pain to have to replace him, but I don't think he'll be worth the cost. As a coverage guy he's always been pretty average imo, and this year he's looked a$$. - I like a lot of the FA pick ups. Edmunds, AO and Mooney would be good at those price points. - I think we probably have to keep Jones and resigning Hardman makes sense. What I'm less sure about: - I don't want Nnadi back at any cost and I don't want Jordan Elliott. I think both offer next to nothing and Nnadi is an active detriment. If I'm looking at Browns' players my focus is Maurice Hurst. Maybe he's rotational but he's finally putting it all together as a rusher and against the run. I also can't see him breaking the bank. - I'd bring back Edwards. I think we're awfully thin at safety as I just don't trust Reid and i don't rate Cook. Edwards has been steady, is getting increasing snaps and I think we should bring him back. - Becton and the general approach to LT makes me a little nervous. I agree with ditching Smith but I think we'll need to draft an OT in the first couple of rounds. My concern is we could be dumping a lot of money at OT for an oft-injured guy and a RT that can't run block. But lots I like and agree with. I might double dip at WR tbh and I'm probably looking at DT before LB in the draft |
I obviously don’t want Donovan Smith to miss any games to injury. But man, seeing Wanya get a start before the end of the year would be nice to see. Just so we can have an idea what we have there. If he could be the starter going forward that would open up so much going into the off season.
I really thought Niang had the ability to be that guy, but he just can’t stay on the field A lot of dominos to fall before the draft. But I keep hearing how this WR class is even better than the Garrett Wilson draft. And I’m ready for Veach to make that aggressive move in the first |
