How bout that cowboy TD

Rookie TE catches the ball going to the ground on 4th down at the 1/2 yard line knee touches then lands with ball on the goaline. Is it a TD by defintion of a catch going to the ground and surviving the impact?

Different then a runner whose shin/forearm/knee touching down.

Compliments to Chris Simms

Was it a catch at that point in time? Or only after surviving the ground?
Did the process of a catch complete?

Same scenario, TE catches the ball going down and touches the pilon before knee hits but loses the ball hitting the ground. TD?!?

Thanks to the NFL, no one knows what a catch is in Football any more...
