Reidball. It's gotta go.

What is Reidball?

Reidball is a wide receiver by committee offense that Andy Reid employs that often takes the best contributing personnel off the football field so that he can run packages with other receivers with plays specifically designed for them, yet cannot execute, when the same play could be successfully executed had he kept the best personnel on the field.

Reidball has been an unmitigated Alex Smith to Junior Hemingway level shitshow thusfar this season. It has not worked, and it will not work moving forward. Reidball offense has resulted in a league high 26 drops this season, and a complete inability to produce any points offensively in the second halves of football games, often due to better personnel suited for the task standing on the sideline at the snap of the football.

Rashee Rice should not come off the field unless he is exhausted or injured. He is far and away the best receiver on the team, and Andy is content to put this dude on a pitch count. Hardman is not being used at all how he was used last year. What does he have since being picked up again, one jet sweep and a couple little bubble screens?

Reidball also embraces the cowardice of punting from the enemy 40 on 4th and manageable to save the epic field position totals of 17-19 yards, knowing that the offense's best chance at points is staring him dead in the face. Andy field the best defense he's ever seen in KC and still refuses to press the issue offensively.

The Reidball experiment has failed.

Andy Reid needs to scrap his alternate packages designed specifically for players that cannot handle the complexity of catching a football, and move to a traditional best personnel on the field at all times WR 1,2,3,4 approach.

Rice should never come off the field for Moore or MVS. Kelce shouldn't come off the field for Bell. Pacheco shouldn't be off the field for Clyde.

Better personnel decisions must be made, snd someone search Andy's wife's purse for his balls on 4th and manageable.

We have a monstrous God damn defense, and we forget how to manage personnel and call offense in response?

“Reidball” did win 2 Super Bowls.

It’s the WR’s… simple as that.

That last punt from the 39-40something range was brutal. I said it when we punted and watched it bounce into the end zone, why? So I’m two plays they’ll be right where they’d be if we don’t get it. Lo and behold 2 plays later and they are further than that spot anyways. And then a TD. And we lost.

We beat the Niners by putting Hill on the bench for Pringle? Wow I need to re watch that.

Watson was there to make a play to down it at the two, but inexplicably decided to let it bounce. He had nothing to lose by trying to down it. Just another example of lack of football smarts. He led the Chiefs with bonehead plays tonight.

This is the new 2023 Reidball. The one that pampers the wide receivers.

"Oh, you just caught a 5-yard pass." "Come out and get some water." "You poor thing." "I won't put you back out there." "We will save you for the next game, and the next."

"I am going to run a play now for that chubby guy we call Clyde." "It's the only play we have, and he will be out of the game too." "Save some water."

Reidball

So if MVS catches that ball then Andy is a genius? Got it.

It was said in another thread but worth repeating; they won’t do shit.

Drops and fumbles.

Receivers and Kelce own this loss

Reid all is also to run the ball 2 times per game. The defense gave us the run and we took it. Was also brilliant to start using Toney more as an option and gadget guy. It wasn’t too badly called of a game. Mahomes was more decisive than we’ve seen him this season which is still way more decisive than most of his career. Reid had a real good pass/run balance.

I mean the rotations drive me crazy but it has started to feel like the alternative is to just sub in another guy who’s going to run bad routes with a 50/50 chance of catching the ball.

Also Reidball isn’t a thing. The guy is a legend. They made a mistake on WRs. 2 super bowls and a 7-3 record despite that gives you the grace to make mistakes

The receivers just don't get open like 90% of the time. Mahomes has had plenty of time, the oline is playing really well for the most part. But he's running around and having NOBODY open at all too often.

Pringle is better than all the receivers on this roster lmao

Turnovers by the players in the red zone. Dropped potential winning TD… The players were position to win..

RealSNR 11-21-2023 07:04 AM

Pussy wanted to say "Reidtard" but he knew everybody would call him a ****ing moron and didn't want his feelings hurt.

He'll deny it, but it's absolutely true. Just like how he wishes Andy weren't coaching the team, another thing he denies.
