The Early Years Tournament: Round 2, Heat 6.
A couple of wins over drunken party-town teams. Which do you prefer?
2020 - Week 11 - W 35-31 over LVR https://www.pro-football-reference.c...2011220rai.htm Chiefs 8-1 / Raiders 6-3 Were you worried that we might lose when the Raiders took the lead with 1:43? Patrick and Travis took this one to the edge before calmly scoring on a 22-yard pass with 28 seconds left in the game. It was a penalty-filled affair with 10 against the Chiefs and 8 against the other team. Our offensive line struggled, but Patrick nonetheless threw for 352 yards and 2 touchdowns and scrambled like Randall Cunningham with radioactive superpowers. This is low-key one of Patrick's best games of his career. Travis had 127 yards in receptions and also threw a 4 yard completion to Pringle, and Tyreek added 102 yards receiving (but a negative 2 rushing). The Chiefs couldn't get any sacks, but Big Play Sorensen came up with a game-ending interception on the defensive side. On a side note, the Raiders suited up both Henry Ruggs and Damon Arnette in this game - Raiders gonna Raider. Watch Charvarius Ward truck a murderer at 11:30 of the highlights. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3xccQ_kxVhc" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> 2020 - Week 15 - W 32-29 over NOR https://www.pro-football-reference.c...2012200nor.htm Chiefs 12-1 / Saints 10-3 I'm amazed that we scored 32 points in this game, because the other team's defensive line was blowing our OL off the ball the entire game. But hey, we have Mahomes, and watch the highlights to see his Hardman pass that may be the tightest window he's ever thrown into on a touchdown. We ran the ball an astounding 41 times as Mahomes displayed greatness under unrelenting pressure (still throwing 47 times). This game also features the quintessential Demarcus-running-backwards play where he actually gave up a safety on a punt return. You don't see that very often. On the positive side of the ledger, Sneed was dominant, with 3 passes defensed, a sack, and an interception. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JuZmdYn1Hi8" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
That Hardman pass is an all timer.

The play is at 7:40 of the highlights if people want to see it. It's another one of those short pass plays where it looks like the play is about to die until Mahomes throws a touchdown. |

I'd suggest we put together an all time Mahomes greatest passes list, but that would take days if not weeks to compile. Some of the throws this kid has connected on defy explanation, and I'm here for all of it. |
I don't know who was more shocked that Kelce was so wide open for the touchdown at the end of the Raiders game - me, or Kelce himself. How exactly do you let that guy get all lonely by himself in the endzone when the game is on the line, anyway??
