Christmas movies tournament ROUND 2: The Polar Express Region
We are on to round 2! One mild upset in round 1 from this region with Bad Santa moving on, though it was a clear winner in its matchup. This is also the region with every movie really being a no doubt, no disagreement, Christmas movie.
I don't have a bracket or anything but it will be like this: Home Alone region Grinch region Polar Express region Gremlins region Here is the final movie list in order:
Spoiler!

This is the weak bracket

Polar Express is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Goddamn it's bad.
This ain't the right demographic for The Santa Clause, especially not against Christmas Vacation (damn boomers) - but it's an awfully good family Christmas movie. Hell, even the 2nd one isn't bad. A 1st round beat is shortchanging it, IMO. EDIT: Oops - I just missed the first round. Sweet 16 birth and a loss to a behemoth? Okay, that's probably not bad. It's fringe top 10 so i can live with that. I still have no idea how Polar Express advanced. Let's make a movie way too long, not give it a plot and then use the creepiest CGI imaginable and bank on Tom Hanks voicework making money for us. It'll be great! |

I agree it’s a good movie. Though this is round 2. Just an unlucky bad draw for it. As for Polar Express, it has grown on me. Not by choice though as my 3.5 year old watches it all year long. |

As a very random bit of trivia, Tim Allen grew up about eight blocks from my house. He overcame great odds to become an actor, because most of the kids in his neighborhood grow up to be bond traders and real estate financiers.

you gotta be smoking crack if you think Polar express is a better christmas movie than bad ****in santa

Bad Santa is obviously funny but being it’s not a movie you can really watch with kids it loses big family points for me.
|
you can if the kids are cool and you want them to be cool
