This is going to make college football more of a niche market. Short term money grab good. Long term longevity and success of the sport bad.

Does this mean that the NFL can start scheduling games on Saturdays?

They should get rid of the NIL and transfer portal.

I guess I missed those mid-October Saturday NFL games.

Oh, you didn't stipulate October. There are preseason games in August and then again in November, December, and January though.

Preseason games don't matter. The December and January games only happen after the college football regular season has ended.

I want NFL games on Saturdays all season long and if college football is headed full steam towards minor league pro football then I hope the NFL steps on them.
