Hog Nuts

Anyone ever tried them? When I was 10 my step grandpa castrated a pig while I held it down and the dog ate them up. He seemeed to really enjoy those slimy things. Got me thinking maybe they are a good delicacy?

I know people like to call them Rocky Mtn Oysters but why sugar coat it. Some people just like to eat balls.

Imo, those are too big if they’re off of a hog. We always cut them when they were smaller than that.
I’d hate to have to hold down the bastard while someone cuts and pulls those bad boys out.
sec

Rocky Mountain Oysters are bull balls, not hogs.

Thought this was a thread about Hogfarmer’s secret stash.

Thank you for your valuable insight into this thread. What do you think Pig Nuts would taste like?

Hog Nuts are the size of footballs.

Never did. But went to a few RMO parties as a kid. But it was mostly a beer fest.

Ahhh I see. I take it you are an animal balls expert of some degree? Would love to pick your brain.

Bull balls, yes, hog balls, no

Is there an option to eat he bull balls medium rare or well done? How does that work?

Mr. Wizard 02-05-2024 06:45 PM

Yep, have castrated bulls and boars. As long as I can see how they are sliced (thin) and cooked (crispy) they are pretty damn good.

All organ meat goes to the dogs. Heart, lungs, testicles, liver... not for my consumption.
