NFL barely slaps Eagles/Falcons hands for tampering

Remind me again why we lost a 3rd and 6th but they only lost this?

**** Goodell. If anything this will make teams want to do it more bc this is nothing. Laughable consequence

****ing horseshit.

Now they'll turn around and give Rice an unprecedented suspension relative to the crime.

This is outrageous.

It’s nothing short of amazing what this team has been able to accomplish dealing with constant refball to keep games close and ridiculous punishments that seemingly no other team deals with. It’s so tiresome, and as staylor mentioned above, you just know Rice is going to get some bullshit like 8 games when any other team he probably gets 4.

Signing cousins is worthy of losing a 7th round pick

What did the Eagles do? Not to defend them, they can lick my taint and drink antifreeze, but if it is Saquon thing I think we trust the process. I am very willing to blame my hatred for Franklin as the basis for my opinion. The guy is a massive douche.

I do have that feeling that they want to prove to the league that they don't favor the Chiefs and give him an excessive suspension. Even though it's obvious that they don't but other fans think they do because we win so many Superbowls now and you always hear them complaining even though it's nonsense.

Yup.

I'm sure there are a lot of benefits we don't know about behind the scenes that come from Clark ALWAYS being a good soldier.

But when it comes to discipline, the league will always lean on us harder than anyone else because they can - they know Clark isn't going to go to war with them over it.

Goodell knows when he's going to get a fight and when he's not. And sends his 'messages' accordingly.

Nah - this all pre-dates any of the success we've had of late.

The NFL has been using the Chiefs as something of a whipping boy for a bit now. And I think it's because they know Clark's not going to rock the boat.

Yup.

And then we were so hell-bent on recovering that pick in the 3rd that we traded our late 3rd for a 3rd and 4th to try to 're-stagger' our board or something like that. It was really strange.

I remember the team being hell-bent on getting back into the 3rd round. I think that was the year they traded their first and moved back (got Jones; alls well that ends well) but then rather than have a massive gap between that their 2nd and 4th rounders, they moved back with their own 2nd to get a 3rd and 4th.

It never made sense to me at all. It really threw a wrench in shit that year.
