Safe Travels Mr Kihn I tapped a toe to your music a few times in the 80s

Funny story - one of my best friends was stationed in Germany back in the 80s. One night at a local bar, he and a group of buddies somehow convinced the locals that they were the Greg Kihn Band and performed a couple of songs, despite having no instruments or any talent whatsoever. Obviously copious amounts of beer were involved. As he tells it, a good time was had by all. So today, there are probably a bunch of Germans in their late 50s/early 60s telling people that they once saw him play live, but he wasn't very good. LMAO

Anyway, RIP.

That’s a good story.
Anyway RIP. 75 seems to soon.
The clock tics for us all.

RIP Greg, being a one hit wonder is far better than being a no hit wonder

Not only super catchy, but the lyrics are spot on

Jeopardy is a good song and without it, “I lost on Jeopardy” by Weird Al wouldn’t be a thing.

Saw him play a concert on South Padre Island when they were at the top of their game. Beach, babes, beer and music. That's what spring break is for.

Breakup Song and Jeopardy are a couple of banging tunes that have been in and out of my deck for years, and everybody knows the songs, but never the artist.

I'm always reminded of a scene from "Beautiful Girls" when Rappaport is pissed at his ex and is snowplowing snow into and against her driveway/garage while diegetically listening to the "Breakup Song".

"Jeopardy" for some reason makes me think of going to the roller rink in the early 80s and hearing that song on repeat while skating it out cruising for chicks...

RIP Greg, and thanks for the music!

Sounds like he had 2 hits. I would not have known who he was if someone hadn't posted those vids. But I remember those songs.
