The Athletic Annual NFL Agents Survey - A LOT of opinions and agent takes

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/562.../?redirected=1

This article is structured in a piss poor method, so I'm going to basically copy and paste it in a manner where it is easier to follow. There are tons of questions I organized out so Everything will be in one big spoiler so this opening post of the thread doesn't take up absurd space. Definitely worth a look though. (Especially when they discuss Veach and how much they believe Mahomes would go for on the open market)

Spoiler!

Wonder if could lead to a Larry Bird rule in the NFL, allow teams to go over the salary cap to re-sign their own player.

TL,DR thanks for posting though!

I think this is my favorite line of the whole damn thing. Damn we're blessed with PM2.

The smaller market owners do not want that.

It would allow a team like Dallas to completely overpay to keep guys where teams with less revenue wouldn't be able to do that because they are "cash poor"

A lot of those wish-list items seem like good ideas.

The dude who said $70 mil per is smoking crack. On a true open market, there's zero doubt he's getting $100 mil a year.

Also, Chiefs rule the NFL. God damn, how did any of this ever happen??? 11 years in and I'm still pretty convinced I'm dreaming.

Why does higher salaries cause problems if the cap goes up?

True, but there could be NFL specific conditions that could mitigate this.

"Soon have a league of haves and have nots".

It's always been that way.
