Jones played the game well

I wondered why they weren't releasing him when he gave that press conference. It was clear that they told him that he wasn't playing for them again under any circumstances to avoid potentially triggering the injury guarantee.

And if that's the case, he shouldn't even be practicing with them. And if THAT'S the case, why is he on the roster?

This made far too much sense. It almost makes me wonder if the Giants actually did it.

He was unranked recruit out of HS... played average at Duke... got drafted in the first round by the NYG... lol. Got paid 9 figures.

Just who could have known this was coming. He just looked like a transcendent talent. We all thought he would be the next Montana, Elway. How could you give up on such an amazing talent and draft a guy instead? Maybe they can trade for Deshaun or Zach Wulson! Sorry Giants fans. Nobody told you so. Nobody.

I still think there's talent there.

I have no idea how to unlock it - he might just be a stupid player. But he has plus athleticism and throws a really nice ball when he has a pocket and solid weapons.

He's limited, but so are 2/3 of the QBs in this league. He should definitely have a long career as a backup but I wouldn't be shocked to see him latch on again as a starter somewhere in the next 2-3 years.

He already made shit tons of cash, and now will be a very decent backup for 10 more years. He's really a perfect backup QB.

That said, God it must suck to be a fan of some of these teams. I can't believe this used to be our world. I will never go back, damn it! NEVER! :)

In some ways it’s better than our world as at least they didn’t wait 34 years to take a chance on a QB in round 1. Better to try, fail, and try again vs being afraid to fail and being stuck with bad or 49er QBs (outside of Montana).
