Shame On Me

My oldest son (21) came home from Mizzou for Thanksgiving and surprised his mom and I with news he had professionally recorded a song while at school called "Shame On Me". It became available on Spotify and Apple Music yesterday.

He had originally shared the song with us when he wrote it a couple of years ago, and I heard him working on it since then when I'd walk through whatever floor he was on. (He's always loud.) I loved the song the first time I heard the chorus. It has a strong hook. I recognize my bias, but it just sounds like a song that is special. Wanted to at least share it with my Chiefsplanet fam.

Those are some bad ass lyrics:

Fool me once
Shame on me
Fool me twice
Can't get fooled again

Elvis Costello vibes as well as some of those 80's British bands like Tears for Fears

I dig it!

Hope he succeeds.

Could use more blast beats but very well done

Very nicely done. Your son has a lot of talent post more of his songs when he records them.

Well done, scho was pretty close with the Elvis Costello comp

Yeah it's nice, catchy as hell! Good luck to him, you've raised a talented kid.

Thanks all! Appreciate the feedback and for giving it a listen. I'll need to fire up some Elvis Costello to see if I can hear it.

Type of song you could play on any occasion, good song to dance to.
