WE ARE NOT THE PATRIOTS!!! STOP SAYING THAT!

teedubya 09-19-2004 06:06 PM

Good thing you made a new thread.

Atleast the Pats had a hint of defense.

So you believe we will go to the SB and win this season?

Demonpenz 09-19-2004 06:09 PM

it's still early guys, wait till Houston lay's 40 on us

tk13 09-19-2004 06:10 PM

I agree, what the Pats did doesn't necessarily mean squat for this team.

On the other hand, I also see several people who think we're going the way of Raider-fade because we're old. That's really no different... you're comparing two teams from different years that have something in common. I do it, everyone does it, it is just an example of a team doing something extraordinary to let us know that something is possible. Nothing more, nothing less....

Next to the "deprogramming the D" excuse this is the most heard statement at 1 Arrowhead drive. The Patriots had the majority of their players on their team that actually played in a Super Bowl where we have maybe 1 or 2. Big difference.

No. we are experiencing a whole new level of ineptitude. [thanks Jenson]

We will finish behind the Donks and Raiders... and perhaps the Chargers... nothing will surprise me this year. Im planning on a top 5 draft pick and much cheaper Season tickets next year.

No shit. We are the 3rd highest in the league in average ticket prices. It will be a cold day in hell when CP cuts ticket prices.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say, but much like the Panthers, the Pats are another good example of drafting well on the defensive side of the football. I mean, philosophically speaking, the Chiefs are not that far off from doing the exact same things the Pats and Panthers have done... in terms of philosophy it's very similiar. The difference is we have not done it well, we haven't drafted well, we haven't coached well, we haven't gameplanned well. You look at the Pats and Panthers and they are perfect models of what we want to do defensively. The Panthers drafted 9 of the 11 defensive starters you saw today... the Pats drafted McGinest, Law, Seymour, Bruschi, Ty Warren, Eugene Wilson, Asante Samuel... what do the Chiefs have to show for the numerous defense draft picks we've made? Fujita? Sims? Wesley? Hicks?....
