how'd my boy do? Cheek, Steve Cheek
No this will not be a weekly feature :)
|
I though he did really well.
|
Figures. We'll make a trade to upgrade our punting situation, but we can't improve anything else.
DAMNIT, CARL!!!!!!! :cuss: |
One of the few bright spots IMO.
|
I haven't seen his stats, but every time he punted I spontaneously uttered the word 'cool.'

The turkey has let our golden opportunity slip by. Will be years before we get this close again. Yes, the D will imporve .... but not enough to win a S.B. and the O has gone backwards. So, traded for a punter .... but wouldn't move on every down players.... I only heard the first half but he sounded okay. I think he will improve as he gets a little more experience and work on the practice field with Gaz. But, sounds like our coverage teams need work? Response? |

I watched a highlight reel from the game yesterday and he and Eric Warfield were the only guys on it.
(apologies to L. Dalton, P. Holmes, and a few others who should have probably made that reel on a few occasions). |
well when you punt 32 times in 2 games, Id have to say that he is this teams MVP so far.
|
He has been a tremendous upgrade, to be sure. It's unfortante that this is the only upgrade we got in the offsesaon, but it does look like the Chiefs knew what they were doing with him. He seems to be very consistent. Maybe not spectacular, but consisitently good.

Cheek & Tynes are the crown jewels of our offseason FA deals.
I guess that tells you how bad our off-season sucked. |
Cheek has been very good IMO. One of the few bright spots thus far :thumb:
