KC Star: CHIEFS NOTES (Teicher)

CHIEFS NOTES

STARTERS UNLIKELY

Priest Holmes and another offensive starter, Eddie Kennison, did not practice. Both are listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but it's unlikely either will play.

Without Kennison, the Chiefs have only three healthy wide receivers and worked Chris Horn, a member of the practice squad, with the first team. The Chiefs probably will activate Horn before Sunday's game.

“It was nice to get out there for a few real (snaps) rather than just take the mental (snaps),” Horn said.

A third starter, defensive end Vonnie Holliday, also didn't practice, but Vermeil said he should return to work today. Strong safety Greg Wesley did work and will be ready for the Texans game.

BOOTH SIGNS

With Kennison out, the Chiefs needed another wide receiver for practice, so they re-signed John Booth to their practice squad. Booth, a quarterback at MidAmerica Nazarene College, went to camp with the Chiefs but was released.

To make room for Booth, the Chiefs released offensive lineman Tim Stuber.

In another practice-squad move, the Chiefs signed one tight end, Aaron Golliday, and released another, Casey Poppinga.

I'd like to know where Mr. negativity Teicher knows that Priest likely won't play. That's the first I've heard of that, I'm not sure if I believe him...

Always nice to see 13 guys on the injury report... that's 1/4th of the entire 53 man roster. :shake:

Yup. This is the 1st I've heard that Holmes was "unlikely" to play Sunday. Wonder where Teicher gets his info?

Teicher Mr. Negative?:shake: The Chiefs only give him bad news recently. His job is report the news not just follow the Chiefs company line. Now thwitlock you can argue about being negative but thats different. He writes an opinion and we all know that every one has one of those about the chiefs. But Teicher is a just the facts guy. I just don't see it.
