But it seems he improved that today, so for a rookie thats exactly what you want to see.
I would like to see him really touch up his mechanics as he still seems to flip his hips and get out on his toes when he's going to throw it deep and uses alot of arm, but that will take time. I'd also like to see him not always just throw it deep like he's doing and really hone in on the intermediate routes when he has to have it, but again, that will come.

He is taking what they are giving.
Those passes were there for the taking. He saw the opportunities and pulled the trigger and delivered good passes that the receivers didn't need to adjust to and could catch in full stride.
When teams adjust their coverages to compensate, he will get it to the open man.
Alex Smith does a fantastic job of finding the open man, he just doesn't trust himself to make the kinds of throws Geno makes with ease.
