There's pessimistic, there's reserving judgment, . . . then there's dedicating your waking life to belittling everything about the team that doesn't meet your narrow definition of acceptable, usually in profane terms.
And the profane part isn't a matter of being prudish, but there has to be a point where, when the only input you offer is 'x sucks dick, and y blows choad, and z shits itself because it's reeruned,' you can't claim to be supporting the team anymore.
Certainly, there is a point where your belittling of any other fan who expresses even an iota more patience or optimism than you, where the fraternal bond is broken.
You are presently the most embarrassing thing about being a Chiefs fan, eclipsing even the Cassel years as they are now in the rear view.
