If the offense gels a bit particularly on the offensive line we have a chance to be very good football team.
I just don't understand how some people on here can be so negative about everything when this is like the best start we've had as an organization in a long time. There is reason for hope, which is a goddamn huge improvement from the past. Alex Smith might not be the long term answer, but I think he is a great short term one, and that's exactly what we needed right now.

The Marty Ball years that people pine for now was the same: great defense, weak offense, good special teams and great positive turnover ratio. The only nagging problem is, people don't want to re-live pain of playoff Marty. See back then, Denver had this guy named Elway.....now, they have this guy named Manning, and a lot of long term Chiefs fans are saying "I've seen this movie...it does not end well." OK, I can dig that. But would you rather be 2-14? I'll take my chances. Andy Reid is not Marty, and in a lot of ways, Manning is not Elway. So we'll see how it plays out.
