So, re: Alex Smith... it's not exactly the same, since there was no "we've done this several times before and failed each time," but there was definitely evidence of a certain style and a wait-and-see attitude. If it works out the same, that would be cool.  |
Yeaaahhhhhhh.
From going to Dean Smith, to the guy who replaced him, (name escapes me, mercifully) who refused to recruit, to Matt Doherty who was a great recruiter but just a pure dumbass, to now Roy, I can say that I am terribly disappointed. Waiting for Roy to come home was the hardest part. I was crushed after he refused us after that Syracuse loss. I guess he just needed Doherty to recruit. He was responsible for Felton, Sean May, and Rashad McCants. He just couldn't coach or relate to players.
