if you follow the pattern of Alex Smith, he actually gets BETTER as the season goes on.
His completion percentage last year actually went up, the further the season went on.
Not saying hes going to approach 70 percent.
Not with the drops. No matter how bad anyone wants to dismiss it.
And yes. Drops were a problem the last two years in SF. And no, it wasn't just crabtree.
It was Walker, and Vernon, and Frank Gore.
Hell, last season, Delanie Walker, (could be off on this) dropped
30 PERCENT of catchable passes.
Shrugs.
I do find it funny. People complain about the passes that Alex Smith wont make, but then totally dismiss wide receivers who cant catch passes when they are open. But, dismiss it.
