Look, I don't hate him, I'm just not going to say that he's "awesome" or anything. He has heart and he protects the ball. That's good. But while those are important, they alone aren't my definition of awesome.

I am seeing smith take a lot more chances downfield. His third down efficiency was pretty lousy today, but it's been good most of the season. He took less sacks today and did a good job against a pretty high pressure defense, even though they ran a ton of obvious five receiver set pass plays. And while he wasn't nails in the 4th, he was fairly effective when we really needed him most. And today, he did it against a top notch defense.
I think he's getting a lot better. Again, the Giants game was pretty ideal for what we need out of smith. He was okay. A flawed performance but not nearly as bad as people here make it out to be.
