Kaepernick collapsed in 2 games. Week 2 at Seattle and week 3 vs. Indianapolis. His passer rating those 2 weeks were 20.1 and 49.9. He just collapsed.

He is showing flashes of stellar play but very inconsistent during development. Kaepernick is better than Alex Smith, but Alex is consistently his 16th-18th ranked self who plays mistake free ball and won't hurt the team, while Kaepernick is feast and famine while he is developing.

It ain't pretty.

But then, the road to the top sometimes isn't. I still maintain he will be an elite NFL QB at some point after Brady, Peyton and Brees are retired. But then, this is a Chiefs forum, so...
