You get your football (in particular) and to a lesser extent men's hoops hires right and the rest of the rigors of that job take care of itself. It does look like he may have hired a pretty good baseball coach.
Perhaps he'll do well there he's highly intelligent but Jurich made several successful football hires botching only Kragthorpe and of course got Pitino which was a no brainer.

That would be a great hire. Luck has been okay, but I think it's a fait accompli.
