Personally, I think he was a bad hire. Toy Story 3 is a great movie but it's too sentimental in comparison to a Star Wars movie. Same with Little Miss Sunshine.
It just seems like the wrong "tone".

Oh, interesting. I'd read reports that Arndt's script was being totally thrown out and that he was no longer a credited writer:
