Yeah, it will. I don't think a win in this one's very likely without all three phases having an A+ day. Although I think we'll need a defensive or special teams score in addition to the offense having their best day of the year.
What I expect is a fired up Denver team that comes out firing early. Hate to get cliche, but we have to weather that initial storm and keep the game close enough that we can turn it into our style of game once things calm down. This is not a week that the offense can afford to stumble in the red zone. We need long drives to eat clock, starting from the opening gun, and we need TDs at the end of them. Otherwise we end up the same as the Chargers yesterday.
I think if we're punting a bunch in the first half, we're toast. We don't want a shootout. We can't win that way. That's Denver's game, and we aren't built for that. But we do have to answer scores as much as possible and we do have to shorten the game.
