Depends entirely on the kind of team Self has. If they have a team with a bunch of good ball handlers (see 2008), beating a team that plays pressure defense won't be a problem. This current team doesn't have that right now.
Those types of teams can beat anybody. They just beat KU far less than they beat everyone else.
It's a weakness. Unfortunately, it may continue to be one. Frankamp looks nowhere near ready to play at this level yet and Greene can't play any defense at all.

The problem I have with selfs high low offense is its really unimaginative about getting the ball into the post. When teams harass the three guys at the top, they have to work way too hard to get the ball to the guy in the post. In most cases, your guard has to really maneuver to get into the lane and open a passing window. Whenever they lose in the tourney that seems to be a common theme. Guards harassed up high and struggle to get entry passes into the post. Not all teams can do it, but some can.
I wish when that happens self could make adjustments. Try something more creative than basic motion up top. Move your guys around in the post. Etc...
