That's not all of it. It's a part, but the guards don't want to get the ball inside, by either passing or driving. They just want to pass side to side instead of attacking it. There's no drive and dish. There's no moving the zone in and out to create some openings to get the ball inside.
It's just too easy to defend and it's not all Ellis' fault. He needs to be more aggressive in getting position and grabbing rebounds, though.
