Now that the 2-2nd round picks are already spent, and you are drafting well in the back half of the draft, you might as well sign Alex for a few years until you can find and groom your franchise QB. It is unlikely to be Bray, but who knows at this point. You could do a lot worse than Alex, and it is not like it costs you draft picks going forward.
